  • • Kristersson invites non-socialist parties to join the growth pact.
  • • Key focuses include a tax freeze and increased funding for research.
  • • The initiative aims to enhance entrepreneurship and state investments.
  • • Clarifies that collaboration does not aim to include the Center Party in the coalition.

In a significant move to stimulate Sweden’s economy, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced a proposed growth pact aimed at non-socialist parties, which he believes is crucial for enhancing entrepreneurship and state investments. Speaking at an event at Mosebacketerrassen in Stockholm, Kristersson highlighted his government’s accomplishments, including stricter crime policies and tax reductions. He stressed the necessity for substantial state investments in critical areas such as defense and justice, stating, "All this will cost a lot of money. We as a country must earn that money."

Kristersson's growth strategy is designed to increase economic growth and improve living standards for working families. Among the pact's key elements are a proposed tax freeze, which guarantees no increases in taxes on labor, savings, or businesses, as well as increased funding for research and support for green industries. Kristersson also plans to invite all non-socialist parties to join this initiative, including the newly elected leader of the Center Party, Anna-Karin Hatt. He aims to foster collaboration across political lines to enhance business incentives and investment opportunities in Sweden.

However, Kristersson clarified that this invitation should not be interpreted as a bid to persuade the Center Party to join the Tidö coalition government, from which they recently distanced themselves due to their opposition to collaborating with the Sweden Democrats. As Sweden navigates through economic challenges, the Prime Minister’s proactive stance is reflected in his call for partnerships that can drive the country towards greater economic stability and growth.
