Seinabo Sey Launches Swedish-Language Album 'Välkommen hem' with Nationwide 2026 Tour

Swedish singer Seinabo Sey is set to release her fourth album, "Välkommen hem," on March 13, 2026. Marking a significant shift, this new work features songs exclusively in Swedish, reflecting Sey's desire to connect through her native language. The album draws on influences from Swedish pop legends such as Tomas Ledin and Lisa Nilsson and channels the rich musical tradition of Visby, where it was recorded. Standout tracks include the smoky "Nyanser av blå," the bittersweet "Den första sommaren," and the poignant ballad "Förlora," co-written with Anna Ahnlund.

Despite criticism that singing in Swedish might limit her international appeal, Sey expresses enthusiasm for weaving the new album with her existing catalog, aiming to offer listeners a vivid glimpse into her everyday life. Following the release, Sey will embark on an extensive 22-date concert tour starting on October 1 in Copenhagen. The tour will cover 16 cities across Sweden—including Lund, Kristianstad, Västerås, Eskilstuna, Örebro—and conclude in Skellefteå on December 5.

This tour underscores Sey's growing presence in both the Swedish and international music scenes, reinforcing her standing as one of Sweden's most prominent voices.
