Jonas Falk, a notorious Swedish criminal known as the 'Playa-Swede,' has been sentenced to nine years and two months in prison for orchestrating a major cocaine trafficking operation involving several tons of cocaine shipped from South America to Europe. The Stockholm District Court convicted Falk on four counts of particularly serious drug offenses committed between 2020 and 2021 across various locations including Spain, Colombia, Costa Rica, international waters, and Sweden.

The court found that Falk played a central role in planning and organizing the transportation routes for cocaine shipments that ranged in size from 123 kilograms to as much as 1.6 tons, with a total estimated value exceeding 2.3 billion Swedish kronor.
