Ikea to Slash Prices on Over 1,500 Products in 2026 to Support Consumers

Ikea announced a significant price reduction plan for 2026, lowering prices on more than 1,500 products by 15-25%. The reductions notably include popular items such as the Billy furniture series, reflecting the company’s strategy to support consumers amid rising living costs. Ingka Group CEO Juvencio Maeztu highlighted this commitment by saying, "We like to lower the price of the umbrella when it rains," underscoring the focus on easing household expenses during economically challenging times.

To implement these cuts, Ingka Group is investing 1.2 billion euros, primarily targeting the European market. Additionally, a further 70 million euros (approximately 800 million Swedish kronor) will be invested to offset inflation and currency fluctuations in Asia and North America, illustrating Ikea’s global approach to consumer relief.
