Woman Suspected of Brutal Murder in Rönninge Has Troubled Criminal Past

Vilma Andersson, formerly known as Robin, is currently held in custody on suspicion of murdering and dismembering a 25-year-old woman in Rönninge, south of Stockholm. The victim disappeared while returning from the train station on December 26, 2025. According to investigators, Andersson allegedly selected the victim at random, killed her, dismembered her body in a bathtub, and attempted to bury the remains. Andersson denies the murder charges but admits to gross violation of grave integrity.

The 26-year-old suspect has a documented criminal history. In 2019, Andersson was convicted of attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl and serious child pornography offenses. Psychiatric evaluations during incarceration identified pedophilia and a high risk of reoffending for sexual crimes. While in prison, Andersson showed contradictory behavior, at times being social and compliant, but also threatening prison staff, including making a specific threat to shoot a female staff member, which led to a separate 21-day sentence in 2021.

A relative of Andersson described the suspect as a "twisted person" and revealed that the family grew increasingly isolated due to past events involving Andersson. The relative noted that Andersson’s childhood appeared outwardly normal, with aspirations of becoming a police officer or pilot, but this was later seen as a facade.

Prosecutor Markus Hankkio confirmed the murder investigation is ongoing, with further interrogations and forensic analysis planned. Charges are anticipated to be filed later this spring. Andersson was arrested on December 27, 2025, after being caught while handling the victim’s body parts.
