Woman Found Dead After Fatal Boat Collision Near Tjörn as Search Continues for Missing Child

A tragic boating accident occurred near Tjörn in Sweden when a recreational motorboat carrying four people collided with a 90-meter commercial vessel late Tuesday evening. On July 30, 2026, police confirmed that a woman in her 40s, who was missing following the collision, has been found dead in the water near the location of the sunken recreational boat. The discovery was announced after a forensic investigation of the commercial vessel was completed, with the ship still under seizure close to the accident site in Hakefjorden.

The boat carried two adults and two young children.
