Withings has launched the Body Scan 2, an advanced smart scale that redefines preventive healthcare by enabling users to measure over 60 biomarkers from the comfort of their home. Presented on January 5, 2026, this device harnesses medical-grade technologies such as impedance cardiography (ICG), a six-lead ECG, and bioimpedance spectroscopy to assess heart function, arterial health, cellular efficiency, and glycemic regulation. According to Éric Carreel, Withings’ founder and CEO, the scale can capture more health data in 90 seconds than most wearable devices do over weeks.

The Body Scan 2 aims to detect early physiological imbalances that may indicate risks for chronic diseases like high blood pressure and metabolic disorders. The device uses an AI model to monitor blood pressure risk and syncs data with the Withings Health+ app, providing personalized insights and health trend scores. The app also helps users understand how lifestyle, stress, and sleep impact their health over time.

Developed in collaboration with leading research institutions and recipient of the CES Innovation Award, the Body Scan 2 sports a sleek design featuring multiple stainless steel electrodes, a foldable handle, a high-resolution color display, and a rechargeable battery lasting up to 15 months. Set for release in Q2 2026 at approximately 5,599 SEK, the device complies with GDPR and HIPAA data protection standards and awaits FDA approval for some measurements.
