Växjö has recently secured emphatic victories against Leksand in the SHL, underscoring Leksand's ongoing difficulties in the league. In a match on January 31, 2026, Växjö defeated Leksand 4-1, with Keegan Lowe scoring two goals, including an early opener and another while Växjö was down two players. Lucas Elvenes also contributed by scoring his personal best, reaching 38 points in the SHL. Despite Leksand having a five-on-three power play opportunity, they failed to capitalize, a point sharply criticized by Leksand’s coach Johan Hedberg as "not okay." This loss deepens Leksand’s crisis as they remain at the bottom of the standings, now 10 points behind HV71.

Earlier, Växjö had also beaten Leksand 3-0, with Lowe again scoring twice.
