Västmanlands Teater Announces Free Parkteater Event in Stadsparken

Västmanlands Teater is set to host the much-awaited Parkteater in Stadsparken, Västerås, from August 12 to 17, 2025. This annual outdoor theater event, which is free to the public, promises a week filled with diverse performances, marking a festive conclusion to summer for local residents.

The program kicks off on August 12 with local comedian Kristoffer Appelquist accompanied by Malin Appeltofft and Lisa Wermelin, and the event will be hosted by Joachim Björkvall of Västerås Comedy Club. Celebrated juggler Peter Åberg is lined up for August 13, while music fans can look forward to Ebbot Lundberg, lead vocalist of The Soundtrack of Our Lives, showcasing his first solo tour with The Solar Circus on the following day.

On August 15, a popular Allsång (sing-along) event returns, featuring performances from Maria Martinsson, Niklas Hjulström, and artists from the show Björnön. A special activity for children will be introduced on August 16, with a performance titled 'Jag kan!' geared towards ages 2-5. The week will culminate with a performance by Sala Storband on August 17, promising classic and groovy jazz tunes. All performances are scheduled to begin at 6 PM and last about one hour, encouraging visitors to bring blankets or chairs. Pre-ordered picnic bags will also be available through the theater’s website. Teaterchef Niklas Hjulström expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event, hoping for pleasant weather to enhance the experience for all attendees.
