A new transportation agreement for service trips in Värmland, which commenced on May 1, 2025, has sparked significant dissatisfaction among users due to operational failures. The center-right coalition in Region Värmland, consisting of the Moderate Party, the Liberal Party, and the Christian Democrats, has initiated an investigation into the issues surrounding the new service. This decision emerged from a recent public transport committee meeting, reflecting growing concerns over the service's decline in quality despite earlier promises of improved efficiency.

Users of the service have encountered long wait times when trying to contact the booking center, along with instances of missed or delayed rides. Originally, the agreement was expected to enhance service delivery through a new planning system and a self-operated booking center aimed at cutting costs and improving oversight. However, current reports indicate that these expectations have not been met, leading to calls for accountability.

Anders Wahlén, Värmlandstrafik's service traffic manager, expressed disappointment over the downturn in service quality. Furthermore, Mattias Bergh, the traffic director at Värmlandstrafik, has been tasked with investigating the root causes of these issues, including possible failings within the IT systems and organizational capacity for handling calls. A report from Bergh is expected in August to address these concerns and evaluate whether a formal investigation is necessary.
