Sweden's upcoming World Cup qualifying matches have sparked an exceptional surge in ticket demand, with the game against Switzerland on October 10 showcasing remarkable interest. The tickets for this much-anticipated match sold out just 45 minutes after the general sale commenced. According to Christoffer Lund, ticket manager for the Swedish Football Association (SvFF), over 25,000 tickets had already been sold prior to the official sale, predominantly to dedicated members of the national team's supporter club, reflecting a record level of pre-sale enthusiasm. Previously, Sweden's last qualifying match against Estonia drew only about 11,000 attendees, indicating the significant increase in engagement surrounding this World Cup qualifying series.

The anticipated showdown against Switzerland serves as a launchpad for Sweden's campaign towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place across the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Lund noted that the excitement surrounding the qualification rounds is palpable among supporters, particularly given the presence of elite players in the squad. Following the match against Switzerland, Sweden is scheduled to face Kosovo at Ullevi in Gothenburg, where ticket sales have also been impressive; approximately 20,500 tickets have been sold, with nearly 9,000 sold within the first hour of availability. Moreover, sales for the match against Slovenia are similarly brisk, with 11,500 to 12,000 tickets already purchased.
