Two Consecutive Night Explosions Rock Multi-Family Building in Rinkeby

For the second consecutive night, a multi-family residential building in Rinkeby, Stockholm, was struck by an explosion outside its entrance. The latest blast occurred at approximately 1:30 AM on Tuesday, following a similar incident the previous night just before 1 AM. Both events caused significant material damage but fortunately resulted in no reported injuries.

Residents in the area were alarmed by the loud bangs, leading to emergency calls to police and fire services. Thomas Sjöberg from the fire department confirmed the explosion took place at the building entrance. The damage from Tuesday's explosion was notably more extensive than the initial blast, including a blown-out entrance door and shattered windows throughout the apartments.

Police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl stated that investigators suspect a link between the two events but have not yet confirmed the perpetrator's identity or motive. The case is being treated as serious public endangerment. Authorities have conducted vehicle and individual checks in the wider Järva area, interviewing witnesses and surveying potential escape routes, but no arrests have been made to date.
