Three Swedish Nationals Arrested in India on Drug Charges

Three Swedish citizens have been arrested in India for drug possession following a police raid on June 9, 2025, in Arambol, a popular beach destination in southern India. The detainees, aged between 25 and 35 and originally from Ronneby, Uppsala, and Borås, were found in possession of LSD and ketamine, with the drugs' estimated value approaching three million kronor (around $290,000).

The Swedish Foreign Ministry has confirmed that it is providing consular support to the arrested nationals, emphasizing their commitment to confidentiality regarding the specifics of the assistance.
