Teenager Arrested for Grievous Crimes Linked to Sadistic Internet Sect '764'

A teenager, known online as 'Chai', has been arrested in Umeå on serious charges connected to the violent online sect '764'. The suspect faces multiple allegations, including attempted murder, aiding in attempted murder, and encouraging suicide. The arrest occurred in front of fellow classmates, highlighting the shocking nature of the case.

The investigation into this sadistic network has expanded, as authorities believe '764' has links to ideologies of Nazism and Satanism. The prosecutor, Jenny Östling, has indicated that new evidence has emerged, leading to additional charges, including one involving a victim outside of Sweden. Police are also probing messages exchanged with an unidentified user on Telegram, seeking crucial information.

Elin Alinder, the lead investigator, stressed the importance of parental vigilance over children's online interactions and communication about their digital lives, labeling the crimes involved as some of the most severe encountered. The sect '764' gained notoriety earlier this year when a 14-year-old member was implicated in knife attacks in Hässelby, leading to a conviction for attempted murder.
