At the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, Swedish player Yike and his team Karmine Corp demonstrated dominance by defeating Vietnam's MVK 3–0 in the play-in finals. Yike's standout performance as Qiyana led to an impressive 7,000 gold lead over MVK's jungler, contributing decisively to their victory. MVK tried a bold, unconventional champion strategy incorporating Aatrox in the jungle and Twitch as ADC, aiming for an aggressive playstyle. However, this approach faltered quickly under Karmine Corp's control.
With this dominant win, Karmine Corp secured their place in the main tournament, set to face top-level teams from Korea and China in Texas. This marks the team's first appearance at Worlds, symbolizing a significant milestone for Swedish esports.
