The fire comes later, often when it is already too late," emphasizing the critical role libraries play as "democracy's shelters." Ghazale accused SD of targeting him for his outspoken criticism, and representatives from Svenska Pen condemned the political attempts to control library programming, highlighting the threat to cultural freedom.
