Swedish Man Detained for Allegedly Selling His Wife to Over 100 Men in Extensive Sex Exploitation Case

A Swedish man in his 60s is currently in custody under suspicion of serious pimping after allegedly forcing his wife to perform sexual services for at least 120 men over a period exceeding three years. The investigation, which has been ongoing since December 2023, was initiated when the wife, in her 50s, reported the crimes to the police last autumn.

The activities reportedly involved both physical meetings and contacts through the internet, though the investigation’s primary focus has been on in-person encounters. Prosecutor Ida Annerstedt has described the inquiry as comprehensive, with a significant amount of material gathered from the couple’s mobile phones helping to identify numerous sex buyers. As of now, many of the suspected buyers have been identified in Västernorrland and elsewhere across Sweden, some already prosecuted, with most expected to be charged alongside the main suspect.

The accused man has a criminal background including former links to the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang and prior accusations of serious accounting fraud and assault against his wife. Although a previous investigation into threats and assault was closed in 2024, it has recently been reopened in connection to this case.

Formal charges against the man are anticipated to be filed by March 13, marking a key next step in the prosecution. The case has drawn attention for its scale—the large number of alleged victims and the extended timeframe, spanning from January 2022 and continuing for over three years—and for the detailed nature of the digital evidence collected.
