Swedish-Designed Zeekr 9X Super Hybrid Luxury SUV Launches in Sweden

The Zeekr 9X, a Swedish-designed super hybrid luxury SUV, has officially launched in Sweden, marking a significant new entry in the premium automotive market. Designed in Gothenburg, the Zeekr 9X merges Scandinavian aesthetics with cutting-edge technology to appeal to the next generation of luxury car buyers.

Powered by a sophisticated 900-volt Super Hybrid drivetrain, the SUV combines dual electric motors with a two-liter turbocharged engine acting as a generator, delivering a total of 897 horsepower. This formidable powertrain enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 4.1 seconds and offers a driving range of up to 737 kilometers (approximately 459 miles).

One of the vehicle's standout features is its ultra-fast DC charging capability, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in under ten minutes using a 330 kW charger. This rapid charging is rare for plug-in hybrids and ensures greater convenience for users. However, the vehicle's electric consumption stands at 28.5 kWh per 100 kilometers, with a gasoline consumption of 8.9 liters per 100 kilometers under the WLTP testing cycle. This relatively high consumption is attributed to the SUV's hefty service weight of 2.9 tons.

Inside, the Zeekr 9X emphasizes luxury and comfort. The spacious cabin features a 47-inch augmented reality head-up display, a large OLED screen, and a 17-inch 3K rear screen for passengers. Amenities include an integrated refrigerator and a premium Naim Audio sound system with 32 speakers and noise-canceling technology. The seats provide massage, ventilation, and reclining options, ensuring maximum relaxation.

Project manager Jennie Ström highlighted the ultra-fast charging during the launch, underscoring the vehicle's advanced technological edge. CEO Lothar Schupet stated that the Zeekr 9X embodies the brand's vision to redefine luxury cars for modern consumers. Pricing for Sweden will be disclosed soon, with first deliveries expected in late December 2026.
