Swedish Cleantech Firm Medclair Targets Tenfold Revenue Growth with Unique Nitrous Oxide Solution

Medclair, a Swedish cleantech company founded in 2013, is leveraging its innovative technology to safely capture and neutralize nitrous oxide (N2O), a gas widely used in healthcare but known for its potent greenhouse effect and occupational health risks. The company aims to increase its revenue by ten times within the next five years, capitalizing on a total addressable market (TAM) estimated at around 17 billion SEK across OECD countries. In the short term, Medclair targets a serviceable available market (SAM) of about 3 billion SEK, concentrating mainly on hospitals and industries within Europe and select Asian markets.

Medclair’s CEO Jonas Lundh highlighted that their technology captures nitrous oxide at the source, maintaining its pain-relief benefits for medical use during childbirth, dental procedures, and emergency treatments, without harming the climate or personnel. The company's growth strategy rests on three pillars: continuous innovation, expanding sales, and building brand awareness. To accelerate market penetration, Medclair plans to establish local operations in key markets including the UK, Germany, France, and the USA.

By mid-2025, Medclair has already shown strong organic growth in order intake and net revenue, sustaining profitability. Its proven technology has been internationally recognized as a meaningful solution to climate challenges. With over 350 installations across more than 20 countries, Medclair is poised for significant commercial expansion in the sustainability and healthcare sectors, offering a compelling approach to combating nitrous oxide emissions while safeguarding workplace safety.
