Swedish AI Travel Agency Holiwise Attracts 15 Million SEK in Pre-Seed Funding

Holiwise, a Swedish AI travel agency targeting premium travelers, has successfully raised 15 million SEK (approximately 1.45 million euros) in its pre-seed funding round. This funding was backed by several angel investors, including Bobby Previti from Bank of America and Ulf Nilsson, the Nordic head of DHL. The agency aims to cater to premium travelers who often find themselves overwhelmed by searching numerous travel websites for the best deals.

CEO Albin Eriksson Lippe notes that this demographic is currently underserved in the market, usually faced with either impersonal self-service booking platforms or high-priced concierge services. Holiwise plans to bridge this gap by utilizing artificial intelligence to streamline the booking process. The agency combines the ease of online bookings with service quality akin to luxury concierge services. It has also formed partnerships with major travel databases, enabling its AI system to search over 10,000 destinations, thereby enhancing the travel planning experience.
