Sweden Welcomes a Weekend of Art and Music Events in Early October 2025

This first weekend of October 2025, Sweden is set to host a variety of cultural events that promise to engage art and music enthusiasts alike. Notably, Konstslingan, a celebrated art event that has been held annually since 2009, returns with 25 different venues for visitors to explore. Organized by Bosse Eriksson in partnership with the municipalities of Kumla and Hallsberg, this year's event invites attendees to participate in an art quiz on Saturday at Pewe's Konditori in Hallsberg, where artworks will be offered as prizes. Additionally, on Sunday, free guided tours at Konst på hög will take place at 11:00 and 13:00, with tickets available from Kumla Library and required to be collected 30 minutes before the tours commence. The festivities will conclude with a concert by renowned artist Arja Saijonmaa at Kumla church, providing a culturally rich finale to the event.

Complementing the art celebrations, Vega Dans is scheduled for October 3, 2025, offering a 1 hour and 45 minutes showcase of dance band music. Peter Fahllund will perform a blend of beloved classics and new compositions, ensuring a light-hearted and enjoyable evening for attendees eager to experience traditional Swedish dance music.
