Sweden has celebrated a notable victory at the 2025 World Sailing Championship, with Team Pro4u clinching the gold medal in the ORC Class C event off the coast of Tallinn. Led by skipper Patrik Forsgren, the eight-member crew demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork to navigate the challenges posed by the competition's eight races, which featured varied and demanding weather conditions.
Forsgren expressed immense pride in his crew's performance, declaring, "We have no weaknesses - that is our strength." The team's rigorous training has paid off as they successfully tackled conditions that included strong winds up to 16 meters per second on the final day of racing.
The format included two offshore races, one stretching over two days and another coastal race lasting approximately ten hours, along with six buoy races over nearly a week. Forsgren noted the versatility of their First 36.7 boat as a significant advantage, allowing them to excel across diverse wind conditions.
Additionally, another Swedish vessel, Cheyenne, helmed by Anders Helmrich, also secured a medal in Class C, underscoring Sweden's strong presence in the celebration of international sailing excellence.
