Sweden Strengthens Measures Against Government Infiltration Amid Rising Security Concerns

Sweden is addressing escalating security challenges linked to infiltration within its government agencies. The Riksrevisionen is conducting a thorough review of how these agencies prevent, detect, and manage infiltration risks. The investigation specifically looks at Försvarets materielverk (FMV), Kammarkollegiet, and Kriminalvården, which play critical roles in managing sensitive information, systems, and decisions vital to Swedish society.

A comprehensive report on the findings is scheduled for release on February 17, 2026. Following this, a seminar organized in collaboration with Folk och Försvar will be held on February 18, bringing together experts and agency representatives to discuss the current threat landscape, the challenges these agencies face, and the necessary actions to enhance national resilience.
