Surveillance cameras at Brinellskolan in Fagersta were turned on the same day as the tragic school shooting, just hours before the incident occurred, aiding police in their investigation. The activation was part of a planned test and installation process initiated after the municipality removed permitting requirements last year. An 18-year-old man has been detained on charges of murder and attempted murder following the shooting which resulted in the death of a 17-year-old female student and injuries to three teenage boys. Additionally, a 16-year-old boy faces suspicion of aiding and abetting the crime.
