Volunteers prepared nearly 400 sandwiches, featuring salmon and ham, alongside warm drinks, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Meanwhile, at Stadsmissionen's meeting place in Mariatorget, pensioner Kim found solace in communal dining. The venue, open throughout the holidays, provides a traditional Christmas buffet and encourages social interaction, combating the pervasive loneliness many feel during this time. Kim reflected on the importance of community, stating, "Why eat alone when you can have this community and some conversation? People come to escape loneliness, which is the worst thing there is."
