Skellefteå AIK has secured the future of assistant coach Andreas Falk by extending his contract until 2029, affirming his commitment amid interest from rival clubs. Falk, who has been with Skellefteå since 2020, expressed that the three-year extension provides both security for his family and opportunities for personal and professional growth within the club.

Falk’s role has been pivotal, especially after he temporarily led the team alongside assistant Pierre Johnsson last season following the departure of head coach Robert Ohlsson. Together, Falk and Johnsson contributed to Skellefteå’s strong performances, including winning the SM-guld in 2024 and reaching the semifinals last season. Under new head coach Daniel Hermansson, the team currently sits third in the SHL standings.

General manager Erik Forssell praised Falk's contributions, highlighting the coach's role in fostering young talent and underpinning the club's ambition to compete for championships.
