Significant Fire Erupts in Multi-Family Building in Upplands-Bro

A major fire broke out in a multi-family building in Upplands-Bro, north of Stockholm, on the evening of July 25, 2025, starting at approximately 10:41 PM. Emergency responders, including multiple police units and fire service teams, were dispatched to the scene. As the fire raged, Josefin Lindblom from the fire service confirmed that it was fully developed and not under control. Although the original source of the fire has been extinguished, it spread to other apartments, complicating firefighting efforts.

Carina Andersson, a supervising officer with the Stockholm police, reported that they are actively assisting fire services and interviewing residents for information. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far. However, large amounts of smoke are present at the scene, prompting authorities to advise local residents to avoid the area due to the potential toxicity of the smoke. The police are conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire, but no clear indications have yet emerged regarding how the incident began.
