Second Suspect Arrested and Ongoing Investigation in Fagersta School Sword Attack

A tragic sword attack at Brinellskolan in Fagersta has resulted in the death of a 17-year-old girl and serious injuries to three underage boys, two of whom are critically hurt. The primary suspect, 18-year-old Liam Nebel, has been detained on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after allegedly carrying out the attack. Recently, authorities arrested a second individual suspected of aiding and abetting these crimes. This man, who had no connection to the school and was not present during the attack, was apprehended following a police raid in the Stockholm area over the weekend.

The investigation is being led by prosecutor Ann-Sofie Trossing, who is expected to decide by Thursday noon whether to request detention or release of the second suspect. Meanwhile, the community continues to support victims, including 16-year-old Jhonas, who was seriously injured in the attack and is currently hospitalized in Västerås.
