Riksväg 90, the key highway linking Sollefteå and Kramfors, has officially reopened following a closure caused by a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in Västernorrland. The road had been shut down since Sunday, and reopening took place on September 12, 2025. Although the highway is now accessible to traffic, some sections remain damaged and have been temporarily covered with gravel. Speed limits have been imposed on these parts for the safety of motorists.

Infrastructure Minister Andreas Carlson praised the dedication of the workers involved in the restoration efforts, who reportedly worked tirelessly to restore access. Carlson expressed gratitude for their commitment, which enabled the road to be reopened sooner than expected.
