Tjänstemännens centralorganisation (TCO) has released a new ranking highlighting the Swedish parliament members most dedicated to job and labor market issues. The ranking, part of the “Jobben först” campaign, evaluates 254 members running for re-election based on their speeches, interpellations, motions, seminar participation, and media visibility related to employment policies. Teresa Carvalho (S) tops the list with the highest index score, delivering 19 speeches on job issues and leading in interpellations. Oliver Rosengren (M) stands out for hosting the most seminars during Almedalen, while Magnus Persson (SD) led with the highest number of speeches among Sweden Democrats. Other notable contributors include Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist (C), Ciczie Weidby (V), Lili André (KD), Amanda Palmstierna (MP), and Patrik Karlson (L).

Alongside this ranking, political commentators and experts are advocating for innovative approaches to strengthen democratic engagement. There is a growing proposal to transform Almedalen—a key political gathering—into an interactive workshop format involving voters, politicians, and experts collaboratively tackling pressing societal issues such as healthcare.
