Political Tensions Rise in Landskrona as Budget Surplus Contrasts with Resident Hardship

In Landskrona municipality, a political controversy has emerged amid reports of a budget surplus while a significant portion of residents continue to face financial insecurity. Approximately one-third of the population lacks a financial buffer of 5,000 kronor, highlighting a stark divide between official financial reports and everyday realities for many families and single parents.

Local criticism has intensified around the municipal government’s focus on maintaining a surplus rather than directly addressing living struggles. Sead Busuladzic, a member of the Landskrona municipal council and leader of the Visionpartiet, condemned the municipality’s approach.
