In Bjuv, a police investigation into serious threats reported by three municipal politicians has been officially closed due to insufficient evidence. The threats, which prompted a report last autumn, could not be substantiated as the case relied on conflicting testimonies, with police assistant Johan Elisasson stating, "It cannot be proven what transpired; it becomes a case of word against word." Despite the closure, security remains a priority: the municipality has maintained personal alarms for the affected politicians and continues to deploy security guards at council meetings.

Baloo Engström, the municipal council chairman and member of the Sweden Democrats, expressed his disappointment over the inability to prove the threats legally, emphasizing the disconnect between the police's conclusion and the affected politicians' experience. The heightened security measures were initially introduced following a demonstration outside a council meeting last autumn protesting political disputes between the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats.

Separately, in Karlskrona, Social Democrat politician Selma Björk Matthiasdotti publicly criticized the use of social media by opposition members, accusing them of unfairly portraying the council's unanimous decision on financial matters.
