A survey revealed that a majority wish to stay, actively seeking new positions with an average of 160 job applications each.
Jobbsprånget, renowned for its successful track record, has activated its national job matching model, which quickly attracted interest from over 90 employers post-layoffs, with 18 individuals already commencing internships. Anja Palm, business manager for Skellefteå Municipality, noted the prompt response to the crisis, reinforcing the program’s importance in retaining skilled talent within the country.
Soroush Molanaei, one of the participants, secured an internship with Polestar in Gothenburg, demonstrating the potential for quick job placements. Alexandra Ridderstad, CEO of Jobbsprånget, expressed optimism about maintaining successful outcomes comparable to their usual target groups, emphasizing the program’s role in integrating vital talent into the Swedish labor market.
Since its inception, Jobbsprånget has matched over 5,800 foreign-born professionals with job opportunities, with a significant majority finding work that aligns with their qualifications. The initiative, supported by the government and the Wallenberg foundations, collaborates with over 500 employers across Sweden to facilitate job placements and support the integration of skilled individuals into the economy.
