OTM Eko Energi Unveils Innovative Solar Parking Solution Amid High Market Interest in Sweden

Swedish company OTM Eko Energi has launched OTM EkoParking, a modular solar panel system designed for parking lots that aims to simplify solar energy installations while reducing costs and environmental impact. Tommy Bergström, CEO of OTM Eko Energi, explains that traditional solar solutions often require complex constructions with heavy foundations, leading to many projects being abandoned. OTM EkoParking uses a streamlined design with ground anchors, eliminating the need for excavation and concrete, which allows for quick and cost-effective installation.

The product is adaptable for both small and large-scale applications, making it suitable for residential associations, commercial properties like hotels, and public facilities. Besides generating electricity, the parking structures provide shade and weather protection for vehicles. They can also integrate battery storage and electric vehicle (EV) charging capabilities, reflecting flexibility and future-proofing.

Bergström highlights that the current rising electricity prices and climate goals are driving strong market interest in practical renewable energy solutions like OTM EkoParking. He emphasizes that the launch represents more than just innovation — it's a demonstration of how sustainability can be practically integrated, turning every parking space into a contributor to Sweden's energy transition.
