Nordic Music Congress in Finland and Swedish Community Music Night Celebrate Music's Power to Connect

The Aurora Music Forum, a new Nordic music industry congress, took place in Vasa, Finland, on September 25-26, 2026. It gathered artists, songwriters, producers, music educators, and industry professionals from across the Nordic countries for two days of lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and live music. The event aimed to foster networking and skill development among both professionals and students, providing opportunities for collaboration within Finland and internationally. Key participants included Dennis Asplund from Drömmen & Big Day Festival, manager Anders Johansson from Management Buddys, and booking agent Hilda Sandgren from MTA Production.

Meanwhile, in Sweden, Älvsbyns Demensföreningen hosted a lively musical evening for about 40 members, filled with music and community spirit. Entertainment was provided by Mona and Niklas Thorneus, and guests enjoyed a shrimp sandwich while engaging in dancing and socializing. The event was made possible by sponsorship from Sparbanken Nord and left attendees with joyful memories.

Together, these events highlight the diverse ways music continues to bring people together across the Nordic region—from industry professionals fostering growth and connections at a major congress to local communities sharing the joy of music and fellowship.
