New Recruitment Platform Aims to Uplift Underserved Talents in Sweden

Guuled Mohamed, founder of Brightstep Sweden, has launched a recruitment platform called Rise and Thrive, designed to create job opportunities for young talents in underserved neighborhoods, including Rinkeby. Mohamed's personal journey deeply influences his mission; at age 14, he encountered gang members who attempted to recruit him into drug trafficking, an experience that solidified his resolve to support young people facing similar challenges.

His innovative approach focuses on utilizing artificial intelligence to ensure a bias-free recruitment process, aiming to dismantle the systemic barriers that inhibit access to employment for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Recently, he was honored with the Kompassrosen leadership award by the king of Sweden, which recognizes his dedication to enhancing social mobility through accessible job opportunities.

"My vision is to create a system where talent can shine regardless of their background," Mohamed stated, highlighting his commitment to fostering inclusivity in the job market.
