Nahir Besara Named Best Player in 2025 Allsvenskan as Mjällby Dominates Awards

The 2025 Swedish football season concluded with the prestigious "Allsvenskans stora pris" gala on November 19, 2025, honoring the top players and coaches across the country's premier leagues. Nahir Besara of Hammarby emerged as the standout, being crowned the best player in Allsvenskan thanks to an outstanding campaign in which he scored 17 goals and contributed 5 assists from midfield. Besara narrowly missed being the overall top scorer but led all midfield players in goals, reflecting his exceptional offensive impact.

Despite his goal-scoring feats, Besara expressed his preference for playmaking over finishing, stating, "I want my performance to lead to good results for the team," underscoring his team-first mentality. His multifaceted contribution was key for Hammarby throughout the season.

Mjällby, the reigning Swedish champions, took home numerous additional awards that spotlighted their dominance in Swedish football this year.
