Multiple Shooting Incidents Strike Järfälla Municipality Early Wednesday

In the early hours of August 27, 2025, Järfälla municipality north of Stockholm was rocked by a series of shooting incidents, including a violent event at a gas station in Viksjö and another where two men were shot in a parked car in a nearby area.

The first incident occurred shortly before 3 AM at a gas station in Viksjö, where a witness reported hearing six shots in rapid succession. The shooting prompted a quick response from emergency services, including ambulances and medical personnel. Shortly after the shots were fired, two youths were observed fleeing the scene on scooters towards Viksjö center. Police quickly cordoned off the area, launching a significant investigation that involved multiple patrol units and canine teams. As of now, the police have been interviewing witnesses at the gas station as they attempt to gather more information about the shooter or shooters involved.

Around this same time, at approximately 2:44 AM, two men were found shot in a parked vehicle in Kallhäll, a locality within Järfälla. The victims, both in their 20s, were discovered with gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital, thankfully with injuries not considered life-threatening. Nadya Norton, a spokesperson for the police, noted that they are exploring a potential link between this shooting and the earlier gas station incident. However, she emphasized that it is too early to confirm any connections between the events.

Both crime scenes have been secured, and forensic teams are conducting thorough investigations. As of now, no suspects have been arrested in relation to either incident, prompting increased concern in the local community about safety and the frequency of violent events.
