Masked Man Assaults Two Women Outside Johanneshov Social Services Office in Attempted Murder Case

On the morning of December 2, 2025, two women in their 30s were violently assaulted outside the social services office in Johanneshov, a district in southern Stockholm. The attack, carried out by a masked man wielding a blunt object, has been classified by police as attempted murder. Both women were struck in the head and sustained injuries requiring hospital care, though fortunately neither suffered life-threatening harm and both remained conscious and able to communicate.

The incident occurred in front of several witnesses, prompting immediate police action including a large-scale search operation that involved helicopter support and numerous ground patrols throughout the Slakthusområdet area. Despite these efforts, no suspects have been arrested to date. Police spokesperson Rebecca Landberg confirmed extensive investigations are underway, including interviews with witnesses and a review of surveillance footage to track the assailant's movements.

Authorities have checked multiple individuals matching the attacker’s description but have yet to identify the perpetrator.
