Martin Brückner's Kalmarsund Set for SM Innebandy Final Broadcasted Live on Viaplay Sport and Innebandy Play

The 2026 SM final in Innebandy, featuring both men's and women's championships, is scheduled for Saturday at the Avicii Arena. Amidst this much-anticipated event, German coach Martin Brückner has emerged as a standout figure, leading Kalmarsund to the finals in his third season, a remarkable feat given the limited recognition of the sport in his home country. His coaching journey started with a high school exchange program in Växjö in 2007 and has now culminated in an SM final appearance, earning considerable acclaim.

The Swedish Innebandy Federation is making the final accessible for free streaming on Innebandy Play and broadcasting it on the new Viaplay Sport channel. Viaplay Sport, launched in the summer of 2025, has quickly established itself as a home for major sports events, with the innebandy finals fitting seamlessly into its programming. Broadcast coverage will feature host Andreas Åberg, commentator Marcus Magnusson, experts Sara Attermo and Mika Monzon Packalén, along with rinkside reporter Patrik Åman.

Christer Abrahamsson, Secretary General of the Federation, stressed the significance of providing free access to the sport's passionate community, while Viaplay's sports manager Erik Westberg highlighted the tradition and excitement surrounding the SM finals each spring.
