Major Industrial Fire in Gothenburg's Gamlestaden Sparks Public Safety Alert

A large industrial fire broke out Thursday evening in an industrial facility located in Gamlestaden, Gothenburg, prompting significant firefighting efforts and public safety warnings. The fire was first reported around 8:30 PM and rapidly developed into a fully developed blaze complicated by the presence of chemicals and gas cylinders, which hindered initial response efforts.

By 11 PM, the fire remained fully developed, but firefighters made considerable progress by 1:15 AM, reporting no open flames and gaining better control. Despite the improvement, extensive firefighting operations continued into Friday morning, with expectations that the effort would last the entire day. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as the facility had been evacuated prior to the arrival of emergency services.
