Major Entertainment Highlights in Sweden for Early 2027: U2 Concert, Melodifestivalen New Group, and 'Off Campus' Season Two Premiere

Sweden's entertainment scene is buzzing with exciting events set to unfold in early 2027, including a surge of live music performances, a fresh entry into the Melodifestivalen competition, and the return of a popular TV series.

Global rock icons U2 have announced an additional concert in Stockholm on April 30 due to overwhelming ticket demand. This third show at the Strawberry Arena adds to their already scheduled performances on April 26 and 28. These concerts mark U2's first Swedish appearances since 2015 and coincide with their European tour promoting the album 'Carnaval de luz'. Tickets for the extra concert will be available starting November 10.

In the lead-up to Melodifestivalen 2027, a new girl group formed by an extensive talent search across Sweden has been confirmed to compete. Handpicked by a record label, this group consists of young dancers and singers previously unknown to the public. The project enlists internationally renowned songwriters, including Jimmy "Joker" Thörnfeldt, to produce a strong, modern, uptempo pop song aimed at capturing both national and international audiences. This represents the first time in several years such a freshly assembled group will participate, highlighting an ambitious approach to the competition.

Television fans have reason to celebrate as the acclaimed series 'Off campus' returns for its second season, premiering on April 28, 2027. Adapted from Elle Kennedy's bestselling book series, the new season shifts focus to the romantic story between Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis. The debut season received widespread acclaim, with critics praising it as a fresh take on romantic drama.

Together, these events underscore a vibrant start to 2027 for Swedish entertainment, blending international superstars, exciting new musical talent, and compelling television storytelling.
