Luleå Hockey faced a disappointing defeat against Rögle, marking their first loss of the season with a score of 1-2 in a match held at Coop Norrbotten Arena. Team captain Erik Gustafsson expressed significant frustration with the team's performance, highlighting poor puck control and a lack of offensive pressure as critical issues. Luleå managed only six shots on goal throughout the game, with a pitiful four shots in the first period and two in the second, which Gustafsson described as unacceptable.

Rögle capitalized on Luleå's mistakes, taking the lead with a goal from Linus Sandin in the second period. This was followed by a second goal from Felix Nilsson late in the match, further extending their lead. Although Markus Nurmi scored a consolation goal for Luleå in a desperate bid to rally back, it came too late to significantly impact the outcome.

Goalkeeper Matteus Ward noted his disappointment in allowing a soft goal, stating, "I had a rough shift. The intention was to set up a face-off," underscoring the internal struggles faced by the team.
