LRF Halland Engages Politicians to Highlight Agricultural Preparedness Ahead of Elections

LRF Halland is actively engaging Swedish politicians in a series of meetings leading up to the upcoming election to emphasize the critical role of agriculture in societal preparedness and resilience. On March 2, a focused event will be held at Lilla Böslid, where LRF Halland, together with Hushållningssällskapet and project leader Sara Arvidsson, will present practical examples showcasing how farmers contribute to food production, energy, and water management — all vital for robust community resilience.

One of the key objectives is to address challenges related to resource distribution. There is concern that resources intended for farmers often "leak" before reaching individual farms, indicating a need for stronger collaboration between public and private sectors across various system levels. This meeting forms part of LRF Halland's election preparation efforts, following an initial event held 300 days prior and preceding a final meeting organized by LRF Södra 100 days before the election.

By bringing these issues directly to decision-makers, LRF Halland aims to deepen politicians' understanding of both the benefits agriculture offers in preparedness and the obstacles hindering effective support to the farming community.
