Linnea Stenson Gears Up for OCR World Championship 2025

Linnea Stenson, a 22-year-old athlete, is ramping up her training for her inaugural World Championship in Obstacle Course Racing (OCR), scheduled from September 11-14, 2025, in Åkersberga. The championship will challenge competitors with 53 obstacles, including climbing, crawling, and balancing tasks, designed to test their agility and endurance.

Stenson is particularly focused on her strategies as participants will face the course for the first time during the event, which can create hesitation. To mitigate this, she practices visualization techniques to enhance her confidence and optimize performance. "I fastnade för lekfullheten," or "I got hooked on the playfulness," she expresses, reflecting her passion for the sport’s creative and challenging nature.

Training sessions play a pivotal role in her preparation, with Stenson leveraging her background in climbing and utilizing Europe's largest indoor obstacle training facility to perfect her skills. Moreover, she emphasizes the strong community aspect of OCR, noting that teamwork and mutual support are vital even amidst fierce competition.

Having previously clinched two VM gold medals in her age group in 2023, Stenson is ambitious for the future, setting her sights on securing an EM gold after this championship.
