Linnea Jarnrot Wins Sveriges mästerkock 2025 and Plans Culinary Ventures

Linnea Jarnrot, a 23-year-old chef from Smögen and Stockholm, emerged victorious in the 2025 edition of the popular cooking competition "Sveriges mästerkock" aired on TV4. In the final round, she impressed judges with a dry-salted mackerel served with tomato water and a cod dish featuring espresso sauce. Throughout the competition, Jarnrot battled self-doubt and even considered seeking psychological support but was inspired by judge Mischa Billing to embrace the challenge.

Her victory awarded her a prize that includes 250,000 kronor and a cookbook contract. Post-competition, Jarnrot has secured employment with renowned Swedish culinary figures, including restaurants run by judges Thomas Sjögren and Niklas Ekstedt. She plans to establish her own pop-up restaurant in Smögen, aiming to explore entrepreneurship as a young restaurateur.

Jarnrot expressed surprise at reaching the final, noting she had already exceeded her own expectations and wished to enjoy the experience. Her story is one of resilience and passion, demonstrating her commitment to advancing her culinary career after winning one of Sweden's premier cooking competitions.
