As Sweden approaches its 2026 general election, major political parties are actively presenting their campaign platforms, highlighting contrasting visions for the country's future. Social Democratic leader Magdalena Andersson emphasizes a new direction focused on workers' rights and economic stability. She highlights the introduction of a worker's pension as a flagship promise, alongside plans such as automatic adjustments to state grants for municipalities, abolishing the waiting day in sick pay, and expanding affordable dental care.
