Jesper Wallstedt, the 23-year-old Swedish goaltender for the Minnesota Wild, has emerged as one of the hottest players in the NHL with an impressive recent streak. Wallstedt recorded his third shutout in just four games, leading Minnesota to a 3-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets, making 32 saves in the match. This performance has brought significant attention to Wallstedt, who has only played five NHL games prior and spent most of his time in the AHL with the Iowa Wild since joining Minnesota in the 2022-2023 season.

Currently, Wallstedt is in competition for the Minnesota starting goalie position alongside fellow Swede Filip Gustavsson, who has had two shutouts in 15 games this season.
