Top Swedish volleyball player Isabelle Haak has opened up about her struggle with mental health in a recent discussion on "Sommar i P1," emphasizing the necessity of psychological support for athletes. Haak, who stands at 195 cm tall, has achieved remarkable success in her sport, including three Champions League titles with her club, Conegliano, the latest being in May 2023.

Though her height offers her a competitive edge on the court, Haak's early life was marked by the stress of her rapid growth. At only five years old, she faced pressure from her family to consider medical options to slow her growth, ultimately choosing to accept her height as an advantage. Nevertheless, the mental strain of competing at the highest level took its toll. Following her win in the 2024 Champions League, she experienced a breakdown while preparing for national team obligations, prompting her to step back from the squad and seek psychological help.
