On the night of November 4, 2025, a woman in her 50s was tragically murdered in the Södra Gryta neighborhood of Västerås. Neighbor Karolina, who heard the distressing screams, rushed outside and found the victim severely injured alongside a man related to her. Despite Karolina's efforts using towels to stem the bleeding and performing CPR, the woman succumbed to her injuries. The incident has profoundly impacted Karolina, leaving her traumatized and unable to sleep or eat.

Authorities have arrested four individuals connected to the crime, including the victim's estranged husband, who is suspected to be the perpetrator. Other arrestees include relatives of both the victim and the injured man; the latter's injuries are not life-threatening.
